Yes, having funds in your Ecocash you are currently able to generate what is called a VCN (Virtual Card Number) and from the details given there to make online payments.

The physical card that they give you, the one for $2, does not work for online purchases. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

For instructions on how to buy a VCN, go here: http://www.techzim.co.zw/2014/08/ecocash-mastercard-online-payments/

so is it the best answer if i want to make frequent online transactions?

Yes, however the VCN can only last for the month that you bought it. If you buy it on May 31, you can only use it for one day, as its expiry date will be 05/16 (month/year). You will not be able to use it in June.

Further, each 'card' can only allow 10 transactions.

You just have to remember to generate a new card every month.

I use it and I'm happy with it.

Yes it works, just generate a virtual card number.  For address just use the address on the Ecocash Account.

I have booked hotels with it and more!
