I need to clone a drive and I was hoping to save a little money and assembly time by getting a cable over an enclosure

Where are you cloning from, is it a desktop or laptop?

If its a desktop, you can save yourself money and time by connecting you disk directly to the motherboard sata and use the power surply to power it. You switch on your pc it comes up as a second disk on that pc. All you need is a extra internal sata cable.

I'm cloning from a laptop and have no ready access to a desktop so the cable adapter would have been ideal for me.
