how come powertel modem works well on my husbands laptop but on mine I cant even log on ?

he has windows XP and I have windows 7 ultimate - or can it be the software - should I delete it and try re-loading the software again???

Does PowerTel have Win 7 driver installed on your Laptop?

l believe Win 7 and Vista shares a same kernel, this should help you sort out your problem if you cannt get a Win 7 driver, use Vista one:

Powertel works fine on win 7, you must be missing it somwehee on the settings, why dont you just take your lappy and dongle to powertel and they will fix it for u?
