Someone just hacked my Twitter account, what do I do?

it's posting things on its own and its targeting my friends telling them to click on virus links.

If your password still works, login and change the password and check the apps that are now authenticating using the account through this link https://twitter.com/settings/applications  and revoke access to any suspicious app that may have been granted access by the hacker (or yourself by mistake)

Avoid tweeting stuff that shows you have discovered that you have been hacked and are changing the password before you actually do it coz then you might lose access to the account forever
