can you please check baseband. Is the phone factory unlocked? If jailbroken there is need for installing the ipad baseband on it to unlock. Remember the unlock is for life! Send me your email for details.

Probably the update which you made for your iPhone has re locked it. That is why it is showing no compatible SIM error. This situation occurs usually after an update if the previous unlock was a temporary one. To avoid this error on future updates, You must perform a permanent unlock.
