I Have a contract econet line whose bill some kind folks  foot for me. Now i use a stupid usb modem which  gets maximum speeds of only 5mbps. Now before some nocturnal scoundrels  relieved me of my Huawei mobile wifi dongle,   I would hit speeds of up to 10 mbps, plus share wifi with friends and famly, now that I Have lost it econet wants me to part with 90 to replace it. Is there anyone who knows where  I can get a Mobile wifi dongle for a lesser price?

lol faced a similar situation about 10 months ago and eventually just purchased Econet's expensive dongle. Strange it hasn't reduced price in over a year. Curious to know too if you find a cheaper replacement source...

btw: reporting the IMEI of the stolen MiFi to police and then submitting a police report to Econet so they could help trace it didn't help

lol,  have a good friend in top mgt at Econet, I  had not taken down the IMEI, the burglars made away with cash, laptop fones and the dongle. He said f I had taken down the IMES and so on he could have helped but then..... I strongly suspect they are clueless on how to use a pc or modem.  Anways  have seen the dongles being sold for 55 Dollars on ebay but then they dont ship to Zmbabwe.  Even if they did DHL charges 22 bucks so i guess buying online would only save 13 bucks, hahahah

Might be a little late, but even if you did not have your IMEI econet can tell when your sim card was switched and as such tell you the IMEI number in question
