I'm currently on ZOL WIMAX but the speeds have become so appalling of late that I am looking to move to an alternative ISP. Yo Africa seems to be a viable alternative so just wondering if anyone has used it lately and can comment on speeds, reliability, customer service, shaping policy etc? Would be much appreciated!

I have a relative who is a reseller for YoAfrica. He has a great connection although the local speeds seemed to be capped at 1Mbps on Wimax as they've been having problems. Also, the Airspan outdoor unit that I purchased from Zol works on the same network as YoAfrica so (in theory) if you had one already you could cancel with Zol and use the same equipment on YoAfrica (if YoAfrica allows you to as they obviously make some money on the hardware).

Thanks for replying-that's very helpful. I don't mind if speeds are capped at 1mbps so long as I actually see those speeds!;-) in theory my ZOL connection is capped at 1mbps but unfortunately I am not seeing anywhere close to those speeds anymore due to their recent new shaping policy;-(
