Anyone else having problenms with Barclays Visa cards?

Question

I cant buy stuff online with visa card from barclays, and even locally here, cant pay for stuff at POS witht he visa card, barclays card support say its an Issue with their IT guys and  they have no idea when they will be able to fix this last time i called them. Anyone else having this issue? we cant even link to paypal

try swipping on CBZ or Stanchart POS.

You are not alone my brother. Am also having the same issue. You can only withdraw money on ATM. Maybe you can get an FBC prepaid card for use while Barclays sorts out their visa cards.

$25, copy of ID and regular ID.  Thats what I took and it was done .  If i remember $9 goes to the fee the remainder is so you have some pennies.

I would get a Payoneer card as a backup.  It is a little tricky adding funds, but its such a blessing when you need to do things and one of the local institutions is acting up

Ok with FBC no need for proof of income, letters, photo's or any of that madness.  Just ID and Cash.  Adding money to FBC is easy and you can withdraw from anywhere there is Zimswitch / Mastercard

Now Payoneer gave me an American Routing Number or ABA with Bank of America and an Account number same institution.  So when i want to add money I need someone in the states to do the deposit for me... usually someone who needs someone to get $$ here and that kind of thing.  I have so far been unable to get a SWIFT code so I can do international wire, thats why I say its tricky.  Now some time ago there was an articule about using Skrill I think to move the money, but I never explored that option as I have one or two people in the states anyway who help with loads.

Had serious problems when I had to atend a conference in South Africa and hotel bookings and payment could only be done on line. The Barclays visa card details were invalid on the site. Made numerous calls to local barclays card centre and the one in South Africa to no avail. I had to go the ancient way of doing elecronic transfer. The Barclays IT guys have to give us value for our money. Apologies are not enough. Business has to be done and done efficiently.
