My airtime has been disappearing at a rate of 10c a day on my econet line and i don't know why. The only things I can think of are the opera mini and whatsapp bundles, but its been a while since i bought them (they seemed to use up my regular data and airtime first before they kicked in). I never bother with any of their sms nonsense so unless i'm charged for receiving them i have no idea where my money goes

First: It's possible be charged for SMS if you have subscribed to something (like news) but it wouldn't be daily. Would be monthly.

10 cents a day would likely be some app on your phone. What type of phone do you have? What apps are running?

Thanks Soul. I have a Galaxy Ace 3 running android 4.2.2 (screen shot of apps currently on phone http://imgur.com/FGVqVHx ). When I first noticed the behavior, my first thought was an app as well so I got a standard data bundle. Then I thought that whatever data I was using was being billed to my airtime instead so I disabled data altogether but again my airtime kept disappearing (note: I haven't used this line for making calls or sending sms's in a couple of weeks, just receiving). The dollar I juiced up has gone down to exactly 60c in perfect multiples of 10 everyday. I guess with the permissions some apps require these days its technically possible one of them could be sending hidden texts or calls. This is turning into quite a mystery
