I have an external hard drive that just gave up the ghost one day. It's 500Gb, but has about 400Gb worth of software, programs, videos and photos that I can't afford to lose.

Is there anyway that I can salvage my hard drive? Any recommended data recovery software for windows? I was using it on a Windows machine and currently have the same OS.

Or are there guys in Harare that does it for a reasonable price?
