What is the 'acceptable' noise level for radio signals? By acceptable I mean if I wanted to get a good connection between 2 campus buildings? I am stuffed so be quick about it!

What kind of devices are you using my friend.

Since it is a campus point to point connection then you should be having two wireless access points/routers operating in WDS mode. Assuming you do not have radio signal detection equipment I advice you to download Chanalyzer Pro...Google it.....or anything from wisegeek.com.

Your RSSI should not go below -80dBm for a pretty good connection. The best signal you can get is around -48dBm.

Good Luck
