Try this:
Settings>>>Cellular Data>>>Cellular Data On>>>APN Settings>>>Set APN to econet.net (or just Internet if you are using Telecel).
Press Home and go to Safari. If your sim is activated for data and is funded you should be able to browse. Also try switching off and then on again after inputting the settings.
