Since PoweraTel changed to its new billing system, is there any improvement in services like customer care.

Is there any change in speed since now people can be auto disconnected if they dont pay hence more bandwidth to paying customers.

Any changes at all?

Improvement seen? Most definitely

However this improvement is usually in the graveyard hours between 9pm-8am. For example in the day time it is usable though there may be 1 or 2 days in the week where congestion reallly creeps up on the network and it goes to its old ways but in the evenings it'll be pretty fast again. Though I must say streaming youtube videos is still a pain even on the occasional days my connection hits 1mb/s...I guess it has to do with latency?

Streaming videos is a bit trick as it involves some little bits which  can affect overall performance. If your graphics card is good and you have enough memory plus temperature is good, then maybe server you are streaming from maybe be busy

I dont think so...Im actually suspecting some form of shaping from Powertel because when I plug in my Econet or Telecel dongle watching videos becomes effortless again. But as we all now, streaming on our 3G networks is wallet suicide!

I've been using Powertel for two years now, and i should say that since the new billing system I've seen an improvement in speed, it's since turned back to my primary service provider. I can't say its the best but its doing the job for now. Another advantage is that i stay close to a booster so my speeds generally are great!
