I have two disk each with 4 terabytes. I want to create a stripe volume to make one 8 terabytes disk.

Even though you can see them with correct space during boot up, the problem is l cannt format them as one volume.

Another issue is that one disk is showing 2 separate disks each with 2tb on it.

Are you using software raid or hardware raid?  You will need to enable UEFI and GPT for drives that are larger than 2.2TB.

Best regards

You are more than welcome!  I had that issue not to long ago when i formatted a work laptop that had a 3TB drive... needless to say it was a sleepless night.  Glad i could help

the UEFI should only be needed for booting from the said disk - standard BIOS/MBR(on a seperate disk) boot will be fine if you are only using the disk for data storage
