How do I remove the econet start screen from my opera?

Too bad you cant, you can remove it from the bookmarks page. Just edit your bookmarks and delete it. You can do the same for the 'start' screen, that page that has square icons. However, you cannot remove the logo from the start screen. If you put a Telecel line, telecel does the same, it removes the econet things and installs its own

It would appear to be impossible. After asking a similar question http://answers.techzim.co.zw/7262/what-is-econet-doing-on-my-opera-mini-speed-dial I looked into it a little more and all I found was http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=1653312

In the end it's a small price to pay for all the money Opera mini saves us (hint hint, econet!)

yes opera is trying to make money to keep afloat, just like Google serves ads on search and emails

You can only do that by using a different sim card other than econet.
