What is the default access port for Confluence?

Question

Im trying to build an internal wiki. After installing Confluence, l now trying to access it and start practising my Linux ninja skills(believe that at yo own risk), bt l cant seem to be able to get it up!

if you ran the express install the it's usually port 8080. Some prefer port 8090.However you normally specify the port during the installation if you run Custom Install.

run netstat -na |more on the server and post results or check the results of the active connections and their statuses.

Thanx Shepherd. The person who built the server put it on 8090. Now what is left is to mess it up. I hav no idea what lm doing here.

Enjoyment... It's JVM which usually means you have to restart it when you was with stuff

You can usually find the port in the /opt/atlassian/confluence/conf/server.xml file if using the standard confluence installer with standard settings
