How do I go about email hosting on Google?

I am not too comfortable with using email clients like SquirrelMail, Outlook, Thunderbird and other such. I have used a company email before (a .com) through Gmail and I was wondering how I go about setting this up?

I am willing to pay, not too sure if it falls under Google apps, or something else. But any information in this regard will really help.

You would need to pay visit www.google.com/a/  the process is fairly straight forward.  It used to be free but now it is $5/user/month or $50/user/year plus taxes .   You alternative would be to use https://domains.live.com/ which is still free for a certain number of users i believe less than 20 but i have not used that service in a while as my preference was to use google apps due to android and other services bundled which in my opinion would be worth the $5 per month for me personally.
