Microsoft announces IMAP support for Outlook.com. What are the settings?

Microsoft recently announced through Reddit that it now supports IMAP settings that allows user to access their emails from off their website.

Thsi settings make it easier you you to use your apps, like Gmail, to access your email from third party services.

This was announced in February mate, that's not recent.

Long and short of it is that the service is now available.
