I recently reset my modem (Huawei HG532e) but when I try to fill in the WAN settings it says "There is no PPP wan connection, so you cannot configure the PPP username and password!" and the option is greyed out! What other thinngs to I need to configure and how?

 

PS: I have seen all related questions to this, none describes my problem so please do not link me back to them!

You will need to take it back to telone so that they can put correct virtual channels and initial it for ppp setup.

This is what you need. The username for PPOe is xxxxxxx@comone.co.zw where xxxxxx is your phone number. Your password is the same as the password telone gave you when they set your wireless up. once you have set this up everything else will work like clockwork. I used the same method when my telone modem was hit by a power surge and i purchased a linksys.

Please login to your moderm portal using the following details to gain access as an admin
username:admin
passwordHua1234

After this login go to the WAN settings and you will notice that the settings havegiven you more access as an admin. Choose the INTERNET_R_35 option and change the connection type to PPPoE. After this you can easily change enter your given username and password from telone.
